Students in Digital Production 120 Contribute to Online Sound Database

"Wings flapping" has over 1400 downloads

Students in this year's Digital Production 120 class contributed many new sounds to the Digital Production class account on the FreeSound site. 

Completing an assignment for the Digital Audio Unit, students created many different sounds, including vehicle engine sounds and everyday sounds heard in school.

Available on the FreeSound site, anyone can download and use the sounds for their own projects. Freesound is a collaborative database of Creative Commons Licensed sounds. Users can browse, download and share sounds.

"Squishy Gore" has over 900 downloads

Some of the sounds created by students in the class have over 200 to 1400 downloads by other users.
