Students in English 10 (LA4) completed a hands on activity where they created their own "poetry lanterns" as a concluding activity for their poetry study. The activity involved the students selecting a poem to identify literary devices then create an illustration to capture the theme of the poem. The students also wrote their own poem, and they could use the poem they selected as a model. Below are photos of their work "hanging out" in the classroom.
